Is there a General Science 101?

Hello Angela, Westfield Studios does not have a General Science DVD yet. We are slated to produce that film next, after we release Physics 101 this year (2015). If you would like to be placed on the list to be notified when products are released, you can email me or message me on facebook. Thank you for your interest in The 101 Series!

Just want to say "Thank you!!" for all the time and work you are putting into these courses. As a homeschooling mom of 3, I have searched for really good, user-friendly science courses... especially since it is not my strong subject. Most of the ones we've done at high school level have been laborious and dry. Last year I discovered Chemistry 101 while searching the internet a new chemistry course for my grade 11 daughter. This year we did the course and included our grade 8 daughter in it (not for credit). It was a delight!!! They so enjoyed doing the labs together and my husband kept wanting to watch it on our family movie night. :) The variety of settings, bits of humour, and appropriate music make such an effective presentation. Well done and many cheers for your family! We have been telling our friends about you, too. Next year my grade 9 daughter will do Biology 101. Imagine our delight to discover just now that Physics is on the way! That has been a dreaded subject thus far. I anticipate doing it in a couple years! It is a big answer for our homeschool experience. And we SO appreciate the wholesomeness of the whole thing. Thank you again and may the Lord bless you!

I wanted to know if the music on the new Physics course has any rock beats in it like the Chemistry one did?
Thank you,
Shell

Dear Potter Family, It is possible that a few pieces of music in Physics 101 may fall into the category that concerns you. We strive to be very careful with the selection of music, however to keep our budgets to a reasonable level, we are limited to a license that does not include unlimited selection. It often takes hours to sort through the options available to us before we can find something anywhere near the production value we are after. Sometimes that means we choose a piece with a more syncopated beat and we are very aware that can be a controversial choice. Please know that we have tried to be very careful in our selections. All pieces are instrumental with no lyrics, but even so they may not fit every family's standard. We very much wish for you to enjoy our films and don't intend to offend any family that wants to view our films. If you buy the DVD set and find that you don't like them, we offer a 100% guarantee (if you purchase from us) and we will completely refund your purchase. Thank you for your interest in The 101 Series.

Is there a listing anywhere on the supplies needed or supply list for experiments? We are doing Chemistry 101 accredited version and I would like my kids to do experiments and it would be nice if there was a list of needed supplies instead of going through all the dvds. Just thought I'd ask. Thank you so much - we love your series - 2nd year - used biology last year.

Aidan, A list of all the supplies needed for the chemistry labs is located on page 4 of the Chemistry 101 Accreditation Booklet. If you need further assistance, please let me know!
