Wes and I celebrated our 29th anniversary on
May 19th, 2013!!
We drove to a nice restaurant and had a delicious
dinner under an umbrella on the patio.
They even had overhead heaters to keep us warm!
Of course we read an article from a magazine
on the way of our favorite things
to do together ~ read something out loud and discuss it.
   Next year on our 30th,
we want to say our vows in a public ceremony again...
anybody looked at theirs lately?

A Legitimate Use for "Angry Birds!"

Physics 101 Script Complete!

Done! The raw script for Physics 101 is complete as of today-15 months of work! Next up:

  1. Turn raw script into a Screenplay
  2. Storyboard the Screenplay
  3. Make a shooting schedule
  4. Film Physics 101 this summer!

Angry Birds

I don't play video games. HOWEVER...I have actually found a productive use for a video game in my work!

My computer often takes forever to process data wait...wait...wait...wait...wait...wait...for my computer to process.

Enter the Angry Birds game on my phone! Now instead of frustration, I have something quick and easy to focus on while the computer processes...fewer crashes and less frustration. Works for me!

Café Gratitude

"Gratitude is not only the greatest
of virtuesbut the Parent of all others."

Martin Luther said gratitude was "the basic Christian virtue."

Jonathan Edwards said gratitude was one of the signs that your religion was genuine.

God destroyed the Northern kingdom because of their lack of gratitude. (Deuteronomy 28:14)

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, humility...all built on a solid foundation of a thankful heart.

The Test
The opposite of gratitude is complaining, worry, self-pity and taking everything around you for granted.
The Antidote
To help correct this attitude you may have, walk around your house and tell God, out loud, twenty things you are grateful for. Do it.

"Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the Parent of all others."

Write it down. Print it in a nice font and tape it to the mirror in your bathroom.
And on the mirror in your bedroom where you get dressed.
Write it in your journal.
....write it on the tablet of your heart.

January 2013 update

Easily the most difficult part of producing an educational film is the pre-production phase.  That's where you actually write the script.

I have been nearly 2 months in the electromagnetic segment alone-no writing mind you, only studying what we know and what we don't know!  (We definitely understand the effects of what we call electricity, and we know how to harness and direct some of the power.  But what it fundamentally is, we are clueless.)

We are pressing to get Physics 101 out this year - however when the research takes long, it pushes the release date back.

We have written the segments on the introduction, on light, sound and heat and are very excited about what these parts of the script teach!  We really look forward to getting the film into your hands and the hands of your families - thank you for all your encouraging emails and posts!

Peace with Joy,
